Red Eye Position Light Interface Module
This module is designed to aid in the installation of upper and lower position light signals. Each module features circuitry to safely operate one upper/lower signal pair. This module specifically operates “red-eye” upper signal heads, where the red horizontal lamps are illuminated without the amber center lamp. Once installed, these signals can easily interface with any number of commercially available signal control systems.

This module dramatically simplifies the installation process for position light signal heads! The module is designed to safely operate the signal lamps between 5 and 12 volts DC. For the upper signal head, the vertical and upper quadrant amber lamps are illuminated with the center lamp, while the horizontal “Stop” aspect illuminates only the red outer lamps. For the lower signal head, this module can either operate the center lamp with each outer lamp pair, or the center lamp can be operated independently.
Once installed, simply connect the inputs corresponding to the desired aspect for each signal head, and the correct lights are automatically illuminated. Included with the module are standard pitch header pins, which can be used to interface with existing control circuitry. Additionally, a jumper is provided for selecting the center lamp operation mode for the lower signal head.
This module is specifically designed for use with position light signals manufactured by D5 DEM Model Smiths. Proper operation cannot be guaranteed when using this module with signals made by other manufacturers.
