HO Scale Little Lights PL Dwarf Signal
These are possibly the first true scale, fully assembled and functional PRR dwarf signals available in HO scale. The design for these signals is taken straight from original technical drawings of the real thing. There are no compromises in this design; this is a true scale signal. The signal is based on the later PL-4 design, introduced around 1930.
This signal can be prepared as the full 4-light signal, or any of the derivative forms in which certain lights are blanked out. This flexibility allows for the highest degree of authenticity and historical accuracy in a model railroad or diorama.

These signals come with a latex masking pre-applied over each lens. This mask protects the lens from paint and weathering materials. This makes it extremely simply to paint and weather the model out of the package! Once painting is complete, simply remove the mask with a pair of fine tweezers, leaving the pristine lenses underneath.
This model comes pre-wired, so there is no need to fight with small LEDs or wires! Each model uses 38 gauge wires to power the LEDs. This signal is prepared in a common anode configuration, in which a common red wire connects to the positive anode side. Each LED has its own yellow cathode wire, so any of the 4 LEDs can be powered. The wires are approximately 24" long and pre-tinned, making it quick and easy to install on a layout!
This model uses 2 volt LEDs rated at 20 mA. To power the signal at 5 volts, resistors larger than 150 ohms are required. To power the signal at 12 volts, resistors larger than 500 ohms are required. We recommend using 560 ohm resistors.
